Battle.Net 2.0 - Gerücht (D3-Relevanz)

Bin gerade zu faul, um meine aufgeführten Ansichten ins deutsche zu übersetzen :rolleyes2: Nehmt es mir net böse, oder unterstellt mir ne Ignoranz diesbezüglich, doch gerade werde ich von diabolischen Kopfschmerzen geplagt.

I like the idea of having a unified B.Net account. That makes for an easy login withhout having to remember all you account names....
Regarding security measurements, Blizzard seems to take it serious right from the start with the new B.Net.

But i wonder how its gonna work with your only one account if your going to buy more than just one copy of Diablo 3 for muling purposes. With Diablo 2 and nowadays B.Net you have two seperate accounts, one for each copy, and thats it.
But only having one unified account, would that not mean that you would be limited to only one copy for each game?

Curious how they are going to solve / treat this one...not to mention who you're supposed to retrieve your password when it's changing every 10mins...lol, with your B.Net account name being displayed everywhere and potentially known to everybody, this could only work via the "secret question" way, i guess....

Cause, how in the hell i am supposed to mule around in D3 and organize my precious stuff across all my chars???

Back to the keyring, would you like to pay $ for some increased security. I mean, with a standard password one should do quite fine unless your out of your senses and start disclosing it one the B.Net chat rooms for some unholy reasons....

I received this tip from a long time site reader, who read it in a private forum. The names are removed and this is strictly a rumor; we're not saying it's true, or that we think it's true. Just read it and be entertained and/or amused.

I've lived in Austin for almost 2 years and Blizzard has a small outpost of operations here. I have made friends with some of the managers for Blizzard and found out the following:

When D3 comes out, Blizzard will be making major changes to battle.net. All players will have a universal battle.net account for all games. They will start selling a $6 key chain with a digital face that updates every 10 minutes or so with a new 11-digit number. That 11-digit number will be your password. This will make it nearly impossible to keylog or bruteforce accounts.

The programming that is going into D3 is totally different than D2. They are not updating from D2-D3 like they did from D1-D2. They are rehashing the entire underbelly of the game and using many of the things they've learned from WoW to make it more secure. Duping items is going to be impossible. The way it was explained to me was: "It's going to be a game with WOW architecture but with a D2 skin."

I asked, but don't have any word on weather or not it will be pay-to-play. With security measures like the keychain-code, I'm sure it will be.

It is known that Blizzard has a huge customer service and internal support division in Austin. Also, during the various Diablo III panels at the WWI, the D3 team frequently remarked on the major structural changes coming to Battle.net with Starcraft 2, changes that Diablo 3 would be utilizing and adding to. And the Blizzard Authenticator is already in service for WoW. So it's a reasonable rumor, so far as rumors go.

Also einen universellen Account hatte ich schon fast erwartet. Ich vermute mal, daß sich das BattleNet 2.0 ein wenig dem jetzigen Steam-Netzwerk nähern wird. Da hat man ja auch einen Account für alle Spiele und dazu noch Funktionen, wie das Friendssystem, einen spielübergreifenden Ingamechat usw.. Ähnliche Features sind ja auch für das 2.0er BNet angekündigt oder zumindest wahrscheinlich.

Dieses Keychain-code System halte ich auch für möglich, aber ob dieses alleine eine Begründung für monatliche Kosten ist, kann ich mir nicht vorstellen. Und ob es nötig ist, sei auch mal dahingestellt. Ich halte es eher für ein wenig umständlich; da komm ich mir beim Zoggen ja wie beim Internetbanking vor.

Warten wir mal das StarCraft 2 Release ab. Da werden wohl viele dieser, das BattleNet 2.0 betreffenden, Fragen geklärt werden. Auf Gerüchte gebe ich nämlich nicht allzu viel.

Aber ganz ehrlich, das hört sich zwar alles ganz toll an. Es drängt sich nur der Verdacht auf, da will irgendne Fansite (bei der natürlich ne mittelständische Firma hintersteckt) Backlinks bekommen.

Ich kann mich auch als Blizzard Mitarbeiter, oder jmd. der Leute von Blizzard persönlich kennt ausgeben und irgendwas in ein Forum posten.

Hoffe, diese preview wird in irgendeiner Form ihren Weg zum news Bereich machen, um Interessierte darauf aufmerksam zu machen, was uns so alles erwarten könnte.
Wobei man anmerken sollte, dass news in erster Linie auf Tatsachen beruhen sollten ^^

Obwohl Blizzard noch nichts Handfestes verlauten ließ, spricht diese Seite schon in den allerhöchsten Tönen vom "nächsten" B.Net:
